Love to listen to music at home or expect to hear clear sounds during your movie? Your audio components are a key part of your system. Whether you are looking at stereo or a home theater surround sound speaker set up, you will start with the core pre-amplifier/ amplifier or audio/video receiver. Surround systems include multiple channels (2.1 Stereo, 4.0 Surround, 4.1, 5.1, 6.1, 7.1, and 9.1 Surround) and usually include Dolby Pro Logic, Dolby Digital, Sony Dynamic Digital Sound (SDDS) or DTS processors. Many audio component systems also have a Low Frequency Effects (LFE) channel with a sub-woofer speaker. Don’t forget to add a turntable phonograph, cassette deck, CD player, DVD-A, or satellite radio to your system.
