If you are a home theater aficionado looking to upgrade your current home theater receiver to something with more power, then you may want to check out the Denon AVR-2309CI. If you like the hands on approach to configuring your receiver instead of just the plug-and-play of most low end receivers then the AVR-2309CI is the way to go.

The AVR-2309CI is not your average, low end, home theater receiver. Measuring 17.1 in x 6.7 in x 16.9 in and weighing 27.1 lbs, the AVR-2309CI packs a lot of functionality into one package. It offers the user a wealth of supported sound modes with the level of quality buyers have come to expect from Denon. Value

The AVR-2309CI does not disappoint in the value you are getting for the money. Denon provides buyers with a high quality receiver, with unlimited configuration options to produce high quality cinema sound at home. Offering 7 channels at 100 watts a channel and the two separate configurations option of either 5.1 with 2 separate speakers that can be used for separate audio in a different room or configuration as 7.1 in one room, the AVR-2309CI provides quality performance again and again.

Features

If you have ever been frustrated by constantly having to change the volume levels between the show you are watching and the "blaring" when its time for commercials, then the AVR-2309CI has the solution. It offers Audyssey Dynamic Volume feature. The Audyssey Dynamic Volume constantly monitors the sound source and automatically adjusts the volume to the optimum level for listening enjoyment without sacrificing dynamic range. The AVR-2309CI also offers the Audyssey MultiEQ Auto setup and Room EQ which with the use of the tower type microphone allows you to configure your receiver to provide the highest quality sound based on your room configuration. It also offers a wealth of video inputs/outputs, many of which are hard to come by on the low end receivers. It offers 4 HDMI Inputs, 3 component video inputs, 5 S-Video inputs, 5 composite inputs, 3 digital optical inputs and 2 digital coaxial inputs. The AVR-2309CI also supports the following video conversions, Composite to S-Video to Component and Composite to S-Video to Composite. The AVR-2309CI also offers the capability to play music from your iPod by connecting it directly to the receiver. But in order to use this function you will need to purchase the iPod dock accessory available separately.
