Klipsch Cinema 6: Review
The Klipsch Cinema 6 packs an awesome punch of sound quality into its compact home theater system. Klipsch has taken the same style and technology found in the larger, highly popular Cinema 8 and 10 series and placed into this smaller powerhouse giving you the same high quality, while lowering the price, making it more affordable for consumers. The stylish, compact design makes it a good fit for any style of entertainment center and it blends well with any decor.

The Cinema 6 took some of Klipsch high performing products and put them together to create this theater system. When you unpack your Klipsch Cinema 6 you will find it comes equipped with four RSX-3 bookshelf speakers, one RCX-3 center channel; the RPW-10 subwoofer is packaged separately. Once you have it set up, this system will bring the unique Klipsch sound to life. Klipsch prides itself on delivering high performing speaker and audio systems and this system works to deliver an authentic movie and music listening experience in your home.

Rating:  4.0 out of 5

Quality

The Klipsch Cinema 6 was developed to be an affordable option for those looking to add Klipsch quality to their home movie, music and gaming experience. Though Klipsch succeeded in providing a lower cost, quality product for their customers, the Cinema 6 by no means falls at the lower end of the price totem pole. You will find cheaper home theater units out there they may not be as good but they out there. This unit provides an option to upgrade so you can enjoy the Klipsch experience. Klipsch is definitely providing a high quality product you have to determine if that extra quality is worth the extra price.

Features

The Cinema 6 employs two-way magnetically shielded 40 watt (160 W peak) speakers and a 3.5 inch Cerametallic woofer. The RPW-10 sub woofer is resilient and sturdy while bringing out the rich, deep bass tones by utilizing a 200 watt RMS amplifier. To capture the clear, sweet sounding higher frequencies this unit puts to work a 0.75-inch titanium dome compression driver and an integral round 90 degree Microtractrix horn, found in the RSX-3/ RCX-3 speakers and center console. The magnetic shielding in each unit helps prevent any type of video interference. Each of the RSX-3/ RCX-3 speakers is set upon a pedestal stand which has a swivel ball joint. This allows you the flexibility to adjust your speakers in the direction of your choice. True to Klipsch quality only high quality network components and premium wiring are used within this system.

Summary

The Klipsch Cinema 6 is a good choice for your home theater experience. While the previous units on the market the Cinema 8 and 10 series are highly popular, some consumers may have found it too far of a financial reach for that level of quality. This unit brings that to a place where it is still a stretch but it is a stretch that may be within your grasp.

Pros

  • Quality Home Theater for a smaller room and budget
  • The Klipsch Experience
  • High quality parts
  • 200 Watt subwoofer

Cons

  • Still a little pricey (but lower than other Klipsch models)
