The HP Officejet 6500 Wireless is an all-in-one printer, scanner, copier, fax and photo printer. Designed for a heavy office workload, the Officejet 6500 can be connected via USB, wired Ethernet or 802.11 wireless Ethernet. It offers draft print speeds of up to 32ppm black and 31 ppm color and laser-quality print speeds of up to 7ppm black and color.

The unit features a 2-line LCD display, a 250-sheet input tray, a 50-sheet output tray, automatic two-sided printing and a 35-sheet ADF (Automatic Document Feeder). The unit can fax, copy and print photos without a PC and has memory card slots for most popular memory card media. The fax has a 100-page memory and can store up to 100 fax numbers. The duty cycle is rated at up to 7,000 pages per month.

HP is currently offering excellent pricing on this printer, making it a good value in a small or home office shared printer. The built-in wired or wireless networking interfaces makes setup and sharing a breeze, and the print speeds mean the unit can deal with a heavy workload. Paper handling capability is best in class, with automatic two-sided printing and an ADF. The ample fax memory means you won't have to waste time waiting on faxes to finish, and you can send faxes and make copies without using a PC.

There's no color LCD, but then this printer is designed to be an office workhorse and not a photo printer.
