If you're looking for a discrete speaker set to pair with your 5.1 channel sound system, then consider the black (also available in white) Bose Acoustimass 6 Home Entertainment Speaker System. Although this model would not be suitable for your large entertainment room, it is perfect for smaller settings such as a bedroom. It features five single cube speakers, plus a powered Acoustimass module with a single performance driver. The downside to having small speakers is a lower audio quality, so you may want to consider a more expensive speaker system for the prime experience.

The Acoustimass 6 Series III system is compact and lightweight so that speakers may be placed virtually anywhere. Each of the five "virtually invisible" cube speakers measures 3 x 3 x 4 inch and weighs approximately 1.2 lbs. The Acoustimass module is significantly larger, and it measures 16.3 x 8.1 x 22.3 inch and weighs 27 lbs. The audio performance is somewhat disappointing when comparing the product and its price to competing models, but overall, it is a great entry-level speaker set that is perfect for the unsophisticated bedroom or den.
