The Monster Cable GLX360 CVA-10 is a 10-foot (3-meter) HDMI and component video A/V cable for connecting your Xbox 360 to your HDTV. It includes separate, high-quality HDMI and color-coded component video cables - everything you need to connect your Xbox 360. The GLX360 uses silver content solder connections for high conductivity and bandwidth balanced multiple wire gauge networks which separate high and low frequencies.

Other features include specially-wound high purity copper stranding for greater clarity and wider dynamics, heavy duty double shielding and 24K gold contact Turbine Connectors which provide greater contact pressure for improved conductivity. The GLX360 also features Single Helix construction, which rejects RF and EM interference and a nitrogen gas injected dielectric insulator which maximizes video signal strength.

Quality

Monster Cables are known for their quality, and the GLX360 is no exception. From the silver content solder connections to the gold-plated contacts, this cable is built both to last through heavy-duty use and provide exceptional performance. Interference from other devices shouldn't be a problem with the heavy duty double shielding and the Single Helix construction. The shielding uses both 100% Mylar foil and 95% copper braid for maximum reflection of interference.

Performance

The GLX360 cable set delivers excellent performance. Interference can often be a problem with longer cables, but Monster has taken steps to keep this interference down to a negligible amount. The same goes for signal strength - the GLX360 is extremely low-loss. It delivers a crisp, clear sound and super sharp video, yet allows some distance between you and your HDTV. It's ideal for larger screens where you need a to sit back a bit from your game.

Summary

If you want the best that money can buy to connect your Xbox 360 to your HDTV, then the GLX360 definitely deserves a look. It's not cheap, but it's built to last and delivers unbeatable performance. And it can carry 8-channel sound (5.1 or 7.1 Surround) from your Xbox to your HDTV or A/V receiver. All in all a very good offering from Monster.
