Top of the office range in Canons multifunction stable is the Canon PIXMA MX7600 Office All-In-One Printer, giving laser quality color documents with the added photo printing superiority that an inkjet unit can provide. Given its target is the office environment another handy benefit of the MX7600 are the six separate ink tanks, adding cost effectiveness to the list of impressive features this all in one unit has.

All of the standard multifunction capabilities are there, with color printing and photocopying the standouts, along with scanning and faxing being available. It has an Auto Document Feeder (ADF) that can hold up to 35 sheets of paper as well as having auto duplex features removing the need to manually reprocess 2 sided documents. Resolutions are available up to 4800 x 1200 dpi in color prints which makes this unit not only a great time saver for the office, but a wonderful color photo printer as well.

Features

The unit connects to your PC or MAC via USB connection and also has network scan capabilities through the Ethernet port. Scanning resolutions can be done up to a maximum of 4800 x 9600 dpi which should be more than adequate for any office environment other than a dedicated graphic design firm. There is a 1.8inch LCD screen and the unit can hold up to 150 sheets of paper in its internal tray. Copying enlargements can be done anywhere from 25% to 400% and there is also a specially designed 'fit-to page' copy function to give added enhancements to productivity.

Performance

Copying speeds are 30ppm in black and color with graphics up to 20ppm, with a maximum of 99 consecutive copies supported. Printing from your computer is also speedy at 28ppm in black and up to 23ppm with color and graphics. The minimum ink droplet size of this unit is 2 picolitre, allowing the unit to get more ink onto the page to produce higher quality printouts. Fax transmission speeds complete a full-page fax in around 3 seconds and the MX7600 can store up to 250 pages in its internal memory.

With the added benefit of Canon's included software range, even an office worker without prior knowledge of PIXMA printers should be able to easily adapt to the units features.
