Canon PowerShot A570 IS: Review
Canon PowerShot A570 IS Review:

The Canon PowerShot A570 IS is a lightweight compact digital still camera made out of heavy-duty plastic. It ranks in the upper part of the Canon A -series models.

Offering 7.1 megapixels, 4X optical zoom, auto flash and red-eye reduction, this camera provides the amateur photographer with the opportunity to capture all those picture perfect moments with the click of the button.

Rating:  3.6 out of 5

Quality

The PowerShot A570 IS offers IS (Image Stabilizer) technology, so everyone can take great pictures even when the camera is shaking. The IS (Image stabilization technology) detects any movement while taking the picture and corrects it so you get a blur free picture every time. Included with your camera are two AA batteries, a Canon computer software program, instruction manual, as well as USB and AV cables for transferring your photos to your computer or television.

Features

The Canon PowerShot A570 IS comes with a 2.5 inch LCD screen, 4x optical zoom lens and Canon's optical image stabilizer. This model also offers several shooting modes; automatic, portrait, landscape, underwater, nighttime, and movie mode with sound, to name just a few. The movie mode feature goes as high as 60 fps to capture VGA quality video with sound. It's time is limited only by the size of the SDHC/SD or MMC card use in the camera.

Performance

With an aperture range of F2.6 - F5.5 you can take consecutive pictures at a speed of 1/2000 a second. The Canon A570 IS can take many photos before the battery runs out or in the case of rechargeables, before the batteries need to be recharged. The AF-assist lamp also allows you to take beautiful pictures when the lighting is low or on a cloudy day.

Summary

The Canon PowerShot A570 IS is a good choice for an amateur photographer, or the busy family that is 'on the go'. Currently it is the least expensive of the Canon 'A' series line to offer the optical image stabilizer technology, which is worth its weight in gold alone. The optical image stabilizer will help you take great blur free pictures, every time.
