The HP w2338h is a 23-inch diagonal 16:9 full HD widescreen monitor. Released in 2009 HP refers to it as its "stretch limo" version. This monitor is equipped with full HD 1920 X 1080 resolution. It has typical 1000:1 image contrast ratio but also allows for a dynamic ratio of 3000:1. It has image brightness on this model of 300nits, a 5ms response time and a .265 pixel pitch. It supports HDMI and VGA connectivity. With speakers which are built into the monitor and it's slim, sleek design it not only frees up desk space but is ideal for gaming and movies. Also included in this monitor is HP Brightview technology, which allows for sharper images and reduced glare. The monitor is detachable and wall mountable and includes a tilt and swivel feature allowing you to adjust to your perfect height and viewing angle.

ErgonomicsErgonomics are not completely left out of this model though it could have gone all the way instead of stopping half way. Equipped with tilt and swivel features it allows you to find the viewing angle which is suited for you. Where it stopped halfway is that the stand height is not adjustable. I can't say if it would have affected the overall price but adding this one feature would have bumped it up another star. SummaryThe HP W2338H is great for the HD computer user. If your computer usage does not require the need for lots of HD technology then this may not be the best option for you.
