The LaCie 5big Network 7.5 TB 301419U RAID NAS (network access storage) device is a complete 5-bay RAID solution for small and medium business workgroups. The 5big features a whopping 7.5TB of storage, which can be expanded even further using the built-in USB 2.0 port or the three 3GB/s eSATA expansion ports. The 5big features Gigabit Ethernet for network connectivity and can support up to 25 concurrent users. The unit also features 5 hot-swappable drive bays, 7 different RAID modes (RAID 0/1/5/5+Spare/6/10/6+Spare), and is compatible with PCs, Macs or Linux. Other features include the ability to backup the RAID data or to backup an external hard drive to the RAID device via the USB or eSATA expansion ports.
