Lowepro Pro Roller x200 Case: Review
Lowepro Pro Roller x200 Case review:

The Lowepro Pro Roller x200 Case is a nice addition to the lowepro line up. While all LowePro bags are constructed well this one is intended to be ultra portable and the streamlined design makes it both easy to maneuver and easy to take with you. The customizable and removable insert offers universal appeal and camera buffs won't be disappointed in how their beloved brand fits into the casing offered by Lowepro.

The Lowepro bag has ultra-durable wheels and a rugged construction so that it will stand up to the rigors and abuse of frequent travel. This one is intended for photographers who are truly on the go as the wheels and the handles are constructed for a comfortable and worry-free commute. The bag also comes with attachments for quickly snapping on additional cases and gear which is a nice expansion option for those dealing with equipment that won't fit in the bag.

Rating:  4.2 out of 5

Features

The Lowepro Pro Roller x200 Case has several features that make it stand apart from other camera bags. Its rolling features make it super useful in large airports were carrying a heavy camera bag can be absolute torture. The adjustable handle is great for people of all sizes and makes carrying the bag very easy. The insert is customizable and removable so the configurations are endless making this a truly universal camera bag. While the bag is designed for a small form it's size can make it pretty useless for photographers with tons of gear or extremely bulky lenses. With enough gear in the main compartment the additional compartments can become pretty tight and cramped rendering them virtually useless.

Ergonomics

The Lowepro Pro Roller x200 is small enough to be considered a carry-on bag which is perfect for photographers who fear baggage claim. It is rather small which makes it easy to carry and the adjustable handle is a nice fit for those who don't want to trudge around with the bag in hand. The compartments are amply sized but still maintain a nice small form. The attachments for additional cases is a nice feature but can turn the bag from easy to carry into cumbersome and difficult to navigate in the blink of an eye. Better placement of the attachments probably would have helped this matter a little bit. Overall this is a nice professional bag for photographers who don't carry a huge amount of bulk equipment.

Summary

The bag is stitched by LowePro with serious quality and construction making this one a durable and rugged camera bag. Most photographers won't have to worry about this one failing halfway through traveling and the universal appeal makes it a great bag for photographers of all skill levels. The small form has its drawbacks and positives but most of all it's a carry on size bag so traveling does not have to be riddled with anxiety about how the bag is being handled.

Pros

  • Compact size makes it a nice carry on
  • Customizable insert creates universal appeal
  • Additional storage and compartments great for extra items
  • High quality styling and construction

Cons

  • Too small for bulky lens
