Olympus ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 35-100mm F2.0: Review
Olympus ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 35-100mm F2.0 review:

The power of the Olympus ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 35-100mm F2.0 camera lens should never be underestimated, especially since its price is nearly double that of traditional telephoto lenses. Its ultra-fast shutter-speeds and beautifully soft out-of-focus image behind the main subject are an ideal for portrait and sports shooting under the low-light. Optical glass elements, such as four ED lenses and one super ED lens, are used to give the best image quality with optimal resolution. If you are a professional with the kind of budget that this lens calls for, you will definitely want to give it a try.

Measuring 3.8 x 8.4 inches and weighing approximately 3.4 pounds, this telephoto lens provides some of the best depth fields and longest shot range that a digital SLR can handle. Of course, this model is twice the price of others, but with that higher price comes higher quality pictures and better performance in all. If you don't mind paying more for a lens, then choosing this one should be no problem. Needless to say, the best part about this lens is that it is compatible with the majority of digital SLRs.

Rating:  3.8 out of 5

Quality

If you plan to take long-range portraits with that noticeable "soft" touch to them, you will definitely want to consider this model. Telephotos are shot quickly and easily, in part thanks to the special automatic focusing system. This may not be the most full-featured lenses, but it is one of the most reliable, durable, and qualified. If you're not sure which to choose out of all the available telephoto lenses, remember to consider how well the device performs and how well it protects against dirt.

Value

There are times when products end up in the extreme spectrum of the price section, and such is the case with this one. Due to the consumer watch on the market, more mainstream cameras and lenses are starting to appear. And while most are reasonably affordable, this one tests the pocket book quite thoroughly. If you are concerned about less-than-expected photo performance and quality, ask around and see if you can get a second opinion.

Summary

One of the most premiere and expensive long-range lenses is the ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 35-100mm F2.0, which allows your digital SLR to snap high-end telephotos with easy operations and no delays. If you are a professional or hobbyist who has a budget larger than the average consumer does, then you will definitely want to check this lens out. If you are restricted on a budget, the same cannot be said for you. Many times, the camera is actually part of the problem.

Pros

  • Easy- simple instructions, complex shootin
  • Convenient- not as bulky as other models we've seen
  • Premiere- features the latest technology for perfect exposure
  • Average- 35-100mm focal lens impresses, but not enough

Cons

  • Expensive- double the price of competitors
