Panasonic TC-P50X1: Review
Panasonic TC-P50X1 is a 50 inch VIERA X1 Series Plasma HDTV that delivers high-quality crisp images for sports, movies and games. This TV is also capable of 720p resolution. TC-P50X1's G12 Progressive HD Plasma display panel provides a high contrast ratio of 30,000:1 and 4,096 equivalent shades of gradation. You can also enjoy high-quality, including (simulated) surround sound audio from its two speakers. For your convenience, it also has several inputs and jacks that you can use to connect your other electronic devices (such as a digital camera, satellite, TiVo, Blu-ray and DVD player).

The TC-P50X1 is characterized by both high-quality images and audio. Its 600Hz Sub-field Drive produces crisp, focused images for sports, dramatic action, and all other fast-moving scenes. It also has anti-reflective (AR) filter for comfortable viewing. Using its VIERA Image Viewer, you can share you digital photos with your friends and family on a 50 inch large diagonal screen. In addition, it has VIERA Link to network your compatible audio and video devices with a single remote and helpful on-screen menus. For your convenience, you can also mount this TV on the wall (you need optional wall mounting bracket).

Features

Panasonic's TC-P50X1 Plasma television is a good model to consider for your purchasing decision. This model is a feature-rich television for your utmost convenience and viewing comfort. It provides a contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1 which incredible (however ratings are getting suspect). As this is a Panasonic plasma, it is expected to provide a great image for up to 100,000 hours (or 34 years of 8 hours per day)! Talk about an investment.

Performance

The Panasonic TC-P50X1 50 inch plasma TV is designed to conform today's Energy Star rating, so you can enjoy high-quality images without an excessive electricity bill. This TV's 720p lines of resolution delivers crisp images for fast moving scenes in sports and movies. It also delivers 24p Playback that reproduces images at two times the speed at which the movies are recorded onto movie film (at 24 frames per second - fps). This achieves film-like reproduction than with the 2:3 processing method. It also has 4,096 equivalent steps of gradation to express images smoothly. The plasma display is from a new generation from Panasonic called NeoPDP that reduces energy consumption without reducing image quality. Add to this that the Viera technology is a THX Certified Display, performance isn't a problem.

Panasonic TC-P50X1 is a VIERA X1 Series 50-" Plasma HDTV that brings high-quality viewing enjoyment to your home. With vivid colors from 6,144 steps of gradation and x.v. Colour, this plasma HDTV once again puts Panasonic ahead of the pack. Add the resolution of 720 lines with the 600Hz sub-field drive, no wonder it is THX display certified.
