ValueDepending on where you make your purchase, this model is more or less HALF the price of a Sony Bravia XBR8, yet it still produces a superb picture and features an array of ports. Many LCDs that boast excellent quality and performance cost upwards of $5000, but this model is roughly 1/3 of that cost. The setup is painless, the picture is great, and the features are almost unbeatable. You can't really ask for much more than that in a LCD HDTV. FeaturesSharp's AQUOS LC-52D85U comes with more HDMI ports than the average big-screen LCD. With five HDMI in all, this model is great if you have a lot of TV add-ons, such as surround sound audio systems, Blu-Ray players, or video game consoles. It also comes with two component video inputs, one S-video port, one VGA (PC) plug-in, two composite video/audio inputs, one serial port, and four audio line-in ports. Hands down, this model comes with a LOT of ports…which is good. Aside from the abundance of ports, the AQUOS LC-52D85U features an integrated dual-tuner for reception of both analog and digital broadcasting stations. For the price, this model comes with a balanced number of features that make it worth buying. SummaryThe Sharp AQUOS LC-52D85U is a television that won't disappoint you. The only consumer complaints have been regarding the TV stand, which in some may not fit correctly. But if this occurs, a technician can adjust the TV to fit. Another complaint is that the TV is known to have power failures, but this is just a defect that does not affect the majority of models. Other than that, consumers have praised both the picture quality and performance that this LCD provides. With a ton of ports, you won't have to worry if you don't have enough room for your add-ons. And for a price that is the fraction of competing models, you really can't lose with this LCD HDTV. Pros
