The Sony KDL40D3000 is a high definition 120 HZ LCD flat panel (new from Sony for 2007). This panel, which offers full HD compatibility at 720p also improves the clarity of your images with the increased 120HZ image processing.

This LCD panel is a quality 40 inch television for customers because it offers optimum picture quality for all source signals and help to remove jitter during fast motion.

Although customers may be tempted to purchase a more expensive 1080p LCD, the Sony KDL40D3000 processing appears to make a significant difference in clarity and the best color representation over many of its' competitors due to the 120 HZ processor.

The new simple design of Sony's remote control makes it much easier to navigate through the various menu and options available on the set. Simply press the home button and you receive instant access to your advanced controls (such as picture and audio adjustments). The aspect ratio adjustments are natural and easy to use, as are the picture controls (both available on the remote without accessing the menu).

Performance

Sony's KDL40D3000 offers exceptional color, optimal clarity and excellent performance for fast motion images. The sound is sufficient, although most customers are encouraged to purchase a separate home theater system to optimize their home theater experience.
