The unit also includes an integrated GPS unit, Bluetooth wireless connectivity and Verizon mobile broadband. Other features include a built-in 640 x 480 webcam and microphone, an 82-key QWERTY keyboard and WiFi 802.11n wireless networking connectivity, The Sony VAIO P Series also includes a multimedia card reader compatible with Memory Stick DUO/DUO Pro and SD/SDHC memory cards, a Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 500 and a display resolution of 1600 x 768. The unit comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit pre-installed.
ValueThe Sony VAIO P Series Lifestyle netbook does include Sony VAIO's legendary quality, but it's expensive - almost twice the price of some of the comparably equipped competition. It does however, include mobile broadband connectivity, a GPS unit and a true (1600 x 768), albeit tiny, widescreen. These factors, coupled with the fact that it should hold up to heavy use, might make it worth the price difference to you if it's in your budget range. FeaturesThe Sony VAIO P Series Lifestyle PC does well in the feature category. The included mobile broadband, GPS unit, SSD and quiet, fast bootup are all extras that you won't find in the lower-priced competition. And there's Bluethooth, the true widescreen display and WiFi. And the included Windows 7 plays very well on netbooks. The 2GB of ram and 1.60GHz processor, coupled with the 64GB SSD, deliver solid performance. One glaring omission, however, is the lack of a wired Ethernet connection. SummaryThe Sony VAIO P Series Lifestyle PC is a full-featured netbook. We liked the widescreen display and inclusion of GPS and mobile broadband. These features make for a very versatile machine. If you need some of the extra features it boasts, and can get past the steep price, it's a very good choice for a netbook. Pros
