The Sony VAIO Z Series VGN-Z820G/B is a 13.1" widescreen LCD business class laptop from Sony. The unit features a 2.53GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8700 processor, 4GB of RAM and a 320GB hard drive. Other features include a true widescreen 1600 x 900 display with hybrid graphics, which lets you select your graphics performance on the fly, a durable carbon fiber case, and G-Sensor Shock Protection, which senses movement and locks the hard disk to prevent scratches to its surface.

The VAIO Z Series notebook also includes a biometric fingerprint scanner for security, a GPS unit, and a built-in microphone and webcam with face tracking technology. Other features include Bluetooth wireless, built-in Verizon mobile broadband, and an HDMI output. Connectivity options include a built-in multimedia card reader compatible with Memory Stick DUO/DUO Pro, ExpressCard /34 and SD/SDHC memory cards, WiFi 802.11n wireless, wired Ethernet and an integrated V.92 modem.

Quality

The Sony VAIO Z Series notebook PC is built to take a beating. There's the high quality carbon fiber case, the G-Sensor Shock protection, and a spillproof keyboard. The build quality is excellent throughout. It costs a good bit more than the competition, but is built to stand up to heavy, on the road business use. Other quality features include a scratch-resistant LCD screen, long lasting battery, and streamlined styling. All of this and the unit weighs only 3.3 pounds.
