The new systems usually scan all of the lines in order (sequential scanning) called a progressive scan. Direct Broadcast Satellite (DBS) has also become an important video component. With the U.S. satellite providers, Dish Network and DirecTV, digital programming can be beamed right to your home. As many video products now have built-in Digital Video Recorders (DVR) or the advent of the home media center, you now can watch what you want, when you want.
